OOTD: Casual Oversized Jumper and Chelsea Boots

I posted the above picture on my Facebook page and Instagram yesterday. I was heading out to a Christmas party for children in foster care. I have three foster siblings and my Mam wanted some company so I decided to go. I kept my outfit quite casual with an oversized jumper, black tights and black Chelsea boots.

Saskia Soft Laguna Knit Marl Mix Jumper Dress

I ordered this from Boohoo.com (I order waaay too much stuff from this site ..) for €34. Available in a berry colour and grey, I decided to opt for the burgundy berry colour. At first I ordered it in Medium (as the model is supposidly wearing this size) but found it to be way too big. I ended up returning it and got a Small. It fitted a lot better. It is meant to look slightly oversized anyway. The quality of this jumper is so good and the knit is fab! You will see reds intertwined with deep purple. I love it! This chunky knit is so comfy and cosey. Perfect for the winter months. I also find Boohoo have a super quick delivery service with your package arriving to your door in 3-5 days.

100 Denier Black Tights

I decided to pair the dress with a pair of black tights. They were pretty standard .. Just plain 100 denier tights. I always get mine from Penneys. They have a huge variety of tights from light to dark to standard to fashion. Usually they are under €5 per packet. You could also pair the dress with jeans or leggings or even go bare legged if you wished. A pair of knee high boots or socks would be fab!

Black Block Heel Chelsea Boots

I featured these in a Mini Shopping Haul a while back. I picked them up in New Look for only €29.99. I thought they were such a bargain. I felt they were real cute with the little jumper dress.

I had a no make-up day and left my hair natural. We need those days every now and then. Hehe! I hope you liked my outfit and I'm planning on doing a lot more 'Outfit of the Day' posts so stay tuned! Mwah!

What I Wore: Debs

I had my boyfriend's debs last night which was held in the Carnegie Court Hotel/Rouge Nightclub in Swords, Dublin. A great night was had by all. I even won 'Best Dressed' which was quite flattering to say the least. I did have a wee accident though .. I sprained my ankle as I was coming off the bus. The medics bandaged me up and I ended up spending my night being carried around or sitting watching everyone dancing .. I envied them all.

Anyway, as some of you know I like to do debs/prom on a budget (For my blog post click here). I did my own hair (with the help of my wonderful sister) and make-up and tan. I also spent a very small amount on the dress, shoes and accessories.

Make-Up

I went for a dramatic look with matte eyeshadows, thick liner and lashes.

Face:
Gosh Velvet Touch Cream Primer
MAC Studio Sculpt NC30
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer Soft Beige
CrownBrush UK Concealer Palette (For Contouring)
MAC Prep and Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder

Cheeks:
Benefit Coralista Blush

Eyebrows:
Sleek Eyebrow Kit in Light

Lips:
MAC Prep and Prime Lip Primer
Essence Lip Liner 'In the Nude'
MAC Creamsheen Lipstick Creme D'Nude

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eye Primer
Too Faced Matte Eye Palette (Using 'Tufted Suede' all over the lid and 'Coffee Bean' in the crease and outer under eye area)
Naked Palette (Using 'Sidecar' as highlight)
Naked 2 Palette ('Busted' in crease and 'Blackout' to set gel eyeliner)
Barry M Black Kohl Eye Pencil
Fuschia Gel Eyeliner in Black
Essence Waterproof Liquid Liner (To neaten things up)
Benefit 'They're Real' Mascara
Eyelure Exaggerate False Lashes No. 141

Hair

I wore my Bellami Hair Extensions (They're AMAZING!) and straightened my hair for that sleek, straight look. My sister helped me back-comb to achieve the wanted look.

The Dress

I got my dress from Boohoo.com for €38. I thought it was such a bargain. The Tilly Plunge Neck Slinky Maxi Dress is available here.

Shoes

My shoes were also from Boohoo and even though I didn't get to wear them for very long I loved them! They weren't too high and were quite comfortable. They were called Scarlet Barely There Heels and cost me €28.

Accessories

The dress I wore came with a gold belt so I planned on pairing it with some gold accessories to match. I ordered the Chelsea Multi Link Hand Harness from Boohoo for just €8. I had been dying to get one!

My sister had a number of thin gold rings that she had picked up in Penneys. I decided to rob two and pair them on one of my fingers.

I had a clutch that my friend had bought me for my birthday from River Island. It went perfectly with my dress.
I also wore an ear cuff as my ear was exposed and I felt it suited the look. I picked this up in New Look a couple of weeks ago. I can't seem to find the price online but I don't think it was anymore than €12.

Nails

Hannah Kellegher, a friend of mine, is a nail technician and I had never got my nails done before so I thought why not? Hehe! I went for gel nails in a nude colour with my ring finger in gold glitter. Check out Hannah's page here.

Tan

I have never got my tan done and I never will once I have my Cocoa Brown Tan in Dark. It's sooo good! For my full review click here.

Thats it guys! Hope you enjoyed it and liked what I wore. Thanks for reading. Mwah!

What I Wore: My Birthday

I've had a lot of people asking me about the dress I wore for my birthday and where it's from so I decided to do a blog post on what I wore ! This is my first fashion post so let me know what you think !

1. The Dress
I loved this dress ! I got it in River Island recently for €60 ! As you can see above , I got it in the lime/bright green colour ! The bright colour really enhances a tan ! It also comes in black and red ! It is such a pretty prom dress ! It's ribbed and quite fitted at the top with a pleated skirt which is quite structured !

Here is the link to the RI website where you'll find this dress : http://eu.riverisland.com/women/dresses/party--evening-dresses/Lime-rib-box-pleat-prom-dress-647158

2. Shoes
You can't see my shoes in any of my pictures but this is them here except I got them in black ! I just thought this picture shows what they really look like as the picture on the website isn't as flattering ! I bought them off Boohoo.com for €38 ! I know that some people won't like them but I love them !

3. Jewellery
I didn't wear much jewellery this night except for this necklace shown below ! I really think a statement piece like this can add so much to an outfit ! It has three chains , one silver , on bronze , one grey in colour and small gold spikes around the edge ! I got this from Topshop for €12 in the January sales ! It was the last one and I can't seem to find it on their website !

But I do have some similar neck pieces picked out if you are looking !

1. Ellen Minature Spikes Necklace from Boohoo.com

This one is from Bohoo.com and comes in both gold and silver ! It is also very affordable at only €12 !

2. Pink Encrusted Curved Link Necklace from River Island

I love this one from River Island ! It is pinky toned with encrusted diamonds ! It is €30 and I'm even thinking of picking it up for myself ! Available in most River Island stores or online !

3. Mix Chain Multi-Row Necklace from Topshop

This gorgeous necklace is from Topshop ! It would be very versatile and jazz up any outfit ! When converted to euros it costs €20 ( going by their online price Of £16.50 ) ! Available in most Topshop stores or online !

4. Premium Five Row Stone Collar from Topshop

To me , this is a bit of an investment piece ! At €85.50 ( £70 on their website ) it is pretty expensive but this gorgeous necklace is made up of a mixed metal look collar with five rows of pink , clear and crystal rhinestones ! Available from Topshop stores or online !

This was my first fashion post so I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed doing it ! Thanks for reading ! Mwah !
