You may or may not have seen me mention Powderpocket on my Facebook page ! For those that don't know what Powderpocket is I will explain ! Powderpocket is a subscription service which allows you to try the latest beauty products and classic favourites from international and Irish brands ! For €12 a month you will receive five beauty products delivered straight to your door ! Powderpocket also allows you to customize your beauty profile so you receive products that will interest you the most ! I have subscribed for three months and am yet to receive my third Powderpocket but I have to admit , I am very impressed with my first two ! In my first beauty box I received :
1. La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water
I know you are probably thinking the same as I was ! Thermal water ? Sure if I wanted water I could get it from the tap ! But that is where you are wrong ! This has been derived from rain water that filters through thick chalky rocks ! It is a natural anti-oxidant and is a daily treatment for the skin ! It helps sensitive skin irritated by outside factors such as the sun and helps to prevent skin ageing ! It also claims , with everyday use , to protect skin cells against free-radicals , to soothe burning sensations and redness , to soften and soothe the skin of all the family , to soothe skin after a cosmetic procedure , to fight irritations and itching , to help decongest , to finish off the cleansing routine and to help you cool down or freshen up ! You spray this and leave to penetrate the skin for 2-3 minutes then gently pat off any excess spray ! I used this everyday , morning and night after cleansing and I loved it ! For me , it acted as a toner and left my skin soft and tightened my pores ! It also helped with redness and left my skin glowing ! This is something I would also love to carry in my handbag for the Summer months ! A spray of this would cool you down and freshen you up ! I was surprisingly impressed with this product ! It is available in selected pharmacies nationwide ( RRP €9 ) or online at www.laroche-posay.ie !
.
2. Lavera Basis Sensitiv Hand Cream
Lavera is an award-winning range of 100% natural and organic skincare and cosmetics formulated for sensitive and delicate skin ! You may recognize the brand name as Aldi stock some of their skincare products ! The Basis Sensitiv Hand Cream is a rich cream with organic almond oil , organic shea butter and organic chamomile extract to soothe , protect and hydrate hands ! I found this great to use when in a rush as it absorbs quickly yet nourishes the skin and leaves my hands feeling soft and moisturized ! It also leaves a lovely smell which is not at all overpowering ! This is available from www.naturalskincare.ie/lavera and selected health shops in Ireland ( RRP €5.24 ) !
3. Pixy Natural Skincare Citrus Spring Soap
This Citrus Spring Soap smells so nice ! As soon as I opened the beauty box I was hit with a bunch of zingy scents ! This soap smells of bergamot , grapefruit and orange essential oils ! It is enriched with cocoa butter and olive oil to leave your hands and body soft and conditioned ! It's a soap so you know what to do ! This is available in 300 pharmacies nationwide and in the very first Pixy shop in Merchants Quay Shopping Centre , Cork City ( RRP €3.99 ) ! Also, check out www.pixy.ie for offers and a full list of stockists !
4. Benecos Natural Kajal Black Eyeliner
Benecos is a young label with a mission to bring a breath of fresh air to natural beauty and making high quality natural and vegan cosmetics available to all ! The Natural Kajal Eyeliner pencil claims to have a smooth and creamy texture for long lasting definition , depth and colour ! The active ingredient of Jojoba Oil cares for the delicate eye area ! I , sometimes , suffer from sensitive eyes and some products can make my eyes water or itchy but this did not ! I was pleasantly surprised at how pigmented this eye pencil was and it really does what it claims to do ! I prefer Kohl pencils but for a Kajal pencil I was very impressed ! Available from www.naturalskincare.ie/benecos and selected health shops in Ireland ( RRP €4.66 ) ! For more information on the full Benecos range visit www.benecos.co.uk !
5. Ginvera Green Tea Marvel Gel
The Exfoliating Marvel Gel claims to stimulate skin metabolism and to leave it feeling smooth and soft whilst regulating and balancing oil secretion which is essential in the prevention of spots ! Its biogel properties break down skin care products into smaller molecules allowing for deeper penetration and fast absorption by skin cells ! It also says that it will refine pores and reveal softer , smoother skin along with fading pigmentation spots and acne scars ! After doing some research , I found that Ginvera Green Tea Marvel Gel is the most popular blackhead treatment in Asia ! This is a lot different to any other exfoliant or extractor I have used before as there are no abrasive grains ! As directed , I applied this to clean , dry skin and then rubbed it all over my face ! As I continued to rub it into my skin the gel began to peel ! I then rinsed it off with warm water ! Instantly my face looked refreshed , my pores appeared smaller and my skin felt soft and smooth ! This exfoliant is suitable for everyday use and can be used on senstive skin ! I will definitely continue to use this product ! Available in Harvey Nichols , Dublin ( RRP €27 ) or £19.95 + £3.50 international postage online at www.janiro.co.uk !
I am really looking forward to getting my last Powderpocket and I am curently trying and testing the products in this months beauty box ! Stay tuned for the next review !
Thanks for reading ! Mwah !
