What I'm Loving This Week

Adding something a little different into the mix. Find out what I'm loving this week below.

Fashion

1. Tartan

Tartan seems to be all in again this year. I have been seeing it in every high street store including River Island, New Look and Penneys. I have a feeling we are going to be seeing everyone wearing it coming into the Autumn/Winter months. The pattern is being used on everything from scarves and capes to collared dresses and I'm loving it! I picked up a tartan cape with a fur collar from River Island recently for €45. It's amazing! It's also so warm and will be great for the colder Winter months. As you can see below, I paired it up with a pair of navy skinny jeans (H&M), a red jumper (H&M) and black Chelsea boots (New Look).

2. Parka Jackets

Anyone that knows me will know of my old khaki green parka jacket. I use to wear it everywhere and with everything (despite the yellow bleach stain on the back..) until I lost it on a night out. I got it in Dunnes a couple of years ago and to be honest, it probably was fit for the bin. I have been on the search for a new one ever since and to my surprise they're everywhere this season. Every shop I walk in to they are being sold but some with quite a big price tag... My last one wasn't great quality and wasn't very warm so I'm looking for a bit of an upgrade. Ahaha! I have my eye on a couple from New Look. One of the hoods is lined with tartan and has a full fur rim. The other has black leather detail on the sleeves. I am torn between the two!

Make-Up

1. Charlotte Tilbury

I am yet to try the infamous make-up artist's make-up range but there's no doubt I am on a mission to give it a try. Charlotte Tilbury is make-up artist for the stars for over 20 years and has painted the faces of celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Millie Mackintosh and Kate Moss. The Irish model and former Miss Universe contestant, Rozanna Purcell, has recently become a big fan and has posted a ray of selfies on Instagram sporting the make-up range. I am in looove! By the looks of things the products seem to give very natural finishes which I suppose is what you want when you are a make-up artist for some of the world's top catwalk models. The Charlotte Tilbury make-up range is definitely something for those who are willing to invest as it comes with an expensive price tag, not overly dear but more expensive than the likes of MAC. I definitely plan on placing an order in the near future. Take a look for yourself here.

2. Inglot Gel AMC Eyeliner

I never thought I'd be converted from my previous gel eyeliner but my God! This stuff is AMAZING! The gel formula is so creamy and just glides on. It can be used to line the upper lash line as well as the eye's waterline. When I do, I like to set and blend it out with a matte black eye shadow. I feel this eyeliner should be recognized just for how pigmented it is. I have mine in the shade 77 and it is SO black. I only have to use a small amount for full effect. It's also super long lasting and doesn't fade, yet at the same time when it comes to taking it off at night, it can be removed without difficulty using make-up remover or cleanser (I like to use coconut oil. It works a treat!). I cannot recommend this liner enough. It has even been included in my college kit which I was delighted to see. You can pick up yours at any Inglot store for €15. It is well worth the money and comes in a big enough pot so should last you a few months.

Music

The Script released their fourth album 'No Sound Without Silence' this week and celebrated by playing Dublin Castle for a homecoming gig. As a huge fan of the Irish trio, I just had to be there! It was the third concert of theirs that I had been to. Each time I think they won't outdo their last but they never fail to impress me. Danny, Mark and Glen played their well known hits as well as introducing us to some of their upcoming singles from the new album. It was a small and intimate gig with about 2,000 people which was nice for a change. On top of that they sound even better live than they do when you hear them on the radio. The Script are one band that never forget about their Irish fans and you can always rely on them to let you know how gracious they are for your continuous support. They also always choose an Irish act to support them and luckily for me it was another one of my favourite bands called Walking on Cars. If you haven't heard the five school friends from Dingle then I recommend you do so now because you're missing out. And why not check out The Script's new album 'No Sound Without Silence' while you're at it. It's fantastic!

So that is it for this week. I might throw a few of these sort of posts in every now and then. Hope you liked it. Mwah!
