Full Review on Pixy Natural Skincare

Pixy are an Irish skincare brand who specialise in using only the best that nature has to offer in their beauty products. They use ingredients such as shea butter which is known for moisturising the skin and it's high levels of vitamin E which is used for healing. They also use essential oils to add fragerance to their products. Pixy have a wide range of products to choose from including soaps and scrubs.

The people at Pixy very kindly sent me out a gorgeous package during the Summer and my God! You have to smell these products. I'm not big into scents and fragerances but these are just WOW! I feel like everything has won me over and it is definitely a brand worth sharing with you all. I have been meaning to review this for a while now but I really wanted to thoroughly test out all the products and finding the time is always an issue. I truly cannot fault a thing and, coming up to Christmas, I know these will make perfect pressies and great stocking fillers.

1. Lime Body Scrub Cubes
These kind of feel like cubes of candle wax. They melt onto the skin and are especially great for removing fake tan. Once the cube begins to melt you will feel the micro exfoliators which remove dead skin cells and leave you feeling silky smooth. As a big fake tan wearer, I have to admit this was one of the best tan removers I have ever tested as it really gets rid of stubborn old tan. Ingredients include Apricot oil which helps soften the skin, leaving a moisturising layer which is nice as sometimes harsh scrubs leave your skin feeling dry. Also, may I mention that they smell amazing? They smell like zingy lemon and lime which I found really refreshing. One cube should do the whole body but it is not recommended to use on the face. Each packet consists of six cubes and for €5.95 you can't go wrong.

2. Pineapple Shower Mousse

Before I say anything, this needs to be shown some appreciation for its gorgeous smell! This shower mousse is scented with pineapple and mango fragerances that will leave both you and your bathroom smelling like a tropical paradise. Aloha to that! My sister fell in love with this too and was mad about the smell. The fluffy mousse lathers onto the skin to form a light foam. The rich butters and almond oil leaves the skin nourished, feeling soft and smooth. It also comes with your very own shower pouffe which all fits neatly into a cute jar. It is a decent size and I guarantee you will get loads of use out of it. This would make a perfect gift for Christmas and for only €12.95 its both cheap and cheerful.

3. Almond Milk Face Scrub

Natural Face Scrubs

I absolutely love this product! It has to be one of my favourite face scrubs. It is so gentle and isn't one of those harsh, abrasive exfoliators. Pixy use poppy seeds to help remove and scrub away dead skin. It is so effective and after every use I found my skin looked brighter and more radiant. I also found that my pores looked smaller and my face always felt soft and smooth. This is due to ingredients like jojoba and apricot oil, buttermilk and yoghurt powders. Also, if you like the smell of almonds you will love this. There is a slight creamy almond smell but nothing overwhelming. I would definitely recommend this product. It's so affordable at only €9.95! It is absolutely fabulous and is actually Pixy's number 1 best seller.

4. Softening Body Oil

Body Softening Oil
I thought this had the nicest packaging. It came in a little glass bottle as shown above which is just so cute. It even has a little handle to pour this luxurious oil. Once again, Pixy has won me over with their amazing scents of jasmine and magnolia. It is devine! The oil itself isn't greasy and soaks into the skin without leaving and oily residue. My skin always felt so nourished after every use and it was perfect for when I got out of the shower and my skin was in need of some TLC. I didn't use it on my face as I thought it may be too rich but it is fantastic for all over the body. Jojoba, apricot and borage seed oils (pregnant women must seek medical advice before use) help to prevent the loss of elasticity in the skin. Thats always a good thing right girls? Haha! Sadly I have come to the end of my bottle but for €9.95 I will definitely be ordering another.

5. Glowing Body Butter

This tin of what looks like whipped cream is packed with beneficial natural ingredients; Cocoa and shea butter, apricot and coconut oil, and loads of Vitamin E. I can assure you your skin will be truly glowing after you use this. It does exactly what it says on the tin! The Body Butter is a mousse consistancy but turns to liquid when rubbed into the skin. I used this a lot to maintain my fake tan. My skin always felt nourished and well moisturised. My favourite thing about this butter had to be the slight sparkle it leaves on your skin due to the presence of mica which is a glittery mineral. It was really subtle (I wasn't going around like a disco ball), yet really effective and helped with adding that extra glow to the skin. I really liked the Pixy Glowing Body Butter as it's perfect for a night out! It is available in a 100ml tin for €12.95 and 200ml tin for €19.95.

6. Coconut Lip Balm

Lip balm is an essential product for me and I was so happy when Pixy sent me one to try. I would slap this on my lips and any dryness would be relieved. This is down to the cocoa and shea butter, sweet almond oil and beeswax which is guaranteed to leave your lips feeling silky smooth and ready to be kissed. Like the Glowing Body Butter, this contains mica so you will be left with a gorgeously subtle shimmer. It isn't one of those sticky balms and you could easily apply lipstick over it. Pixy have a range of flavours to choose from including honey, mint, chocolate (YUM!), strawberry and coconut. I got the coconut flavour and I literally wanted to lick it of my lips it smelled so good! They are also the perfect size to pop in your pocket or in your bag when you are on the go. €3.95 ain't a bad price either.

7. Honeysuckle Natural Soap

Natural Soaps - Honeysuckle
I was never one to like bars of soap. I always felt they left an uncomfortable layer on my hands. I'm also prone to getting dry hands and soaps don't usually help with that. Although I was skeptical at first, I tried it and was pleasantly surprised to find it to be a different kettle of fish. This contains cocoa butter and macadamia oil to help deeply moistuise the skin. My hands felt soft as well as squeeky clean. There was no unpleasant feeling on my skin. Plus the smell is just gorgeous (have you noticed a trend yet?). I am a sucker for things that look pretty and I thought the fairy/pixy design was so cute. It would make a perfect gift. Get yours for only €5.95.

So what do you guys think? Sound good don't they? I was more than impressed with Pixy Skincare as a brand and would happily continue to use their products. They're also offering a service to make up gift boxes with products of your choice which is perfect for Christmas or birthday presents! Have a look for yourself at www.pixy.ie or pop into a Pixy stockist nationwide.

Thanks so much for reading! Mwah!
